I'm Andrew.I'm a proud immigrant who grew up in Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, Toronto, and now New York City. I'm also an entrepreneur and investor.In 2020, I moved to America to work for Facebook. It was a wild time, but moving to New York City during a global pandemic was the best decision I ever made. In 2023, I went to build products at Google, and a year later, I left to start my own company. Life is too short!In just our 1st year. I bootstrapped my company, Fibe, to over $1M in revenue. We're a one-of-a-kind tech event and media company for entrepreneurs, investors, and tech professionals.Over 40,000 entrepreneurs, CEOs, investors, and people in tech across 8 cities have attended my events, and we've worked with companies like Fidelity, J.P. Morgan, American Express, Notion, and 50 other enterprises and hypergrowth startups. Business Insider dubbed me the "Gatsby of Silicon Alley," and I've been fortunate to be featured on Fast Company, Bloomberg, Fortune Magazine, Morning Brew, Axios, Reuters, AdAge, and This Week in Startups for building communities.I'm also an angel investor (13 investments) and Partner at Next Wave NYC (15 investments). I like early-stage software companies that improve the way we live, work, and connect with other humans.Beyond that, I share my thoughts on my personal blog, write for Business Insider, and have spoken about tech careers, community, and entrepreneurship at Princeton University, Columbia Business School (2x), SXSW 2023, Advertising Week 2023, and Jason Calacanis' "This Week in Startups" podcast.I'm working on a few other things too.
